New Loader Eromupgrade 3329 D
thanks for this tutorial. i follow the instructions and get as far as step 9 in the tut.. my router is configured to ‘share’ the router’s internet connection. would this prevent me from connecting to the box with the router in use?
i have the serial port opened on my system, but the firmware does not show at step 7. the firmware file is named firmware-loader-1.0.0-1-stb-9.bin (not firmware-loader-1.wefo, like the other firmware-loader-1.bin file). the firmware is located in my usb storage device, “stb “writeable”.
once you obtain the loader tool from the website, install it on your computer. after loading, you can download the firmware for your stb. there are certain set of specifications and parameters when it comes to the loader tool
the loader tool verifies the firmware that is stored in the stb before download. if the firmware is the one you intend to download, the tool will stop you. if the firmware is not compatible with your stb, it will give you warning and if it is compatible then it will download the firmware. here are the steps of how to use the loader tool:
stb1 make sure that you have a command and image file. step 2. click on the “start loader tool” button. step 3. the stb identification window appears. step 4. you must choose the best suitable stb type from the different types that are presented to you. if there are too many type the tool will not able to identify the firmware automatically. make sure that you have specified the “model” of your stb properly. step 5. click on “continue” to begin the download. the firmware will be downloaded to your computer in “download folder”. 6. the loader is ready to be used. upload and download firmware/update firmware from stb to pc..
thanks for all your help everyone else i am still working on this one. i have it with all the correct ports and have the aj v2_3 file, but still no go it seems to be working as normal. when i run the loader it connects to the server then goes back to eromclient and the synchronizing stb reset target message.
i have had the same issue. this is a huge hassle and frustrating to say the least. i’ve tried everything and just about everything. i have found a solution though. on my box it was using a usb -> serial port cable.. i was having the same problem so i used a female to female converter and a standard to serial port cable. it worked like a charm (i tried everything else).
thanks for the response, mate. i have read it & i understand your pain. (and yours, too!) i’ve been trying to send a mail to the technical support team, but until today, i have not been able to get a response. i understand that you’re working the case internally, so there’s no need to hold my breath. i appreciate your help anyway. i know you’re all busy guys, but i’m sure you’re all pretty invested in this issue, too.
just in case anyone else encounters something similar to this – if you have a working device, this is the solution. it’s based on the assumption that you’ve flashed your same initial roms and tested to make sure you have a working device. at this point, try to download a flashburner-work-only-firmware-1.1.zip file to your f3 device. it’s a zip file. note that the file size is just 61kb. save to a location like your desktop. then, run the downloaded file. you should see something like the following:
